Day Two: In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

I don't really expect anything to come of this wishlist so no pressure, folks.

1. A remix fic based on my fic. I've read them in other fandoms and I think they're super interesting but I never saw them floating around HP. [livejournal.com profile] leigh_adams wished for one on her wishlist and reminded me that I thought they were cool.

2. A fanmix based on something I did or a pairing/character I write. It'll probably be depressing but I only have myself to blame.

3. A drabble about Black Widow from the MCU, since she probably won't be getting a movie.

Day 3: In your own space, talk about your creative process - from what inspires you to what motivates you to how you manage to break through blocks. Does your process change depending on the type of creating you're doing? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Music. Music is so integral to my creative process that I've been without access to my digital music library for almost a year and have written absolutely zero words. It is the rarest occasion if I'm writing, fanmixing, or anything else that I don't have something playing, even if it's some instrumental white noise to block out the rest of the world. The right music can put me in the right emotional state for a scene or a character. Basically, I just need it to function as a writer and human being.

Let's see, the rest of my process, especially for getting around blocks is just writing whatever. Sometimes I can get stuck on proper word choice or, Cthulhu help me, sentence structure and I just have to move past it and keep writing, even if I think what I'm writing is crap and it's all going to get edited out. Eventually something better comes along. And if it's plot related and nothing is coming to me by spewing crap then I just walk away for awhile. I let it stew in the back of my mind while I do something completely unrelated: cooking, cleaning, taking a shower. Whatever. Something usually crops up when I'm least expecting it. :)

Ms. Adams ([livejournal.com profile] leigh_adams) wrote me a remix that I requested on my wishlist! ^_^ It made me smile so I'm spreading it around.

Fools In Love (Are There Any Other Kind?) | PG | Andromeda/Ted by [livejournal.com profile] leigh_adams is a remix of my drabble What Shall We Die For? | PG | Andromeda/Ted

I love it to pieces cuz it was written just for me. *snuggles it tight*
